Committee of Seventy releases Q&A on property reassessments in advance of Mayor Nutter's FY2013 Budget Address

Philadelphia Mayor Michael Nutter has indicated he will not call for any tax increases in his proposed Fiscal Year 2013 spending plan, which he will unveil to City Council in his annual budget address on Thursday, March 8 at 10:00 a.m.

But some residents and property owners may receive a higher property tax bill as a result of the city’s massive project to reassess the value of all city properties, which is schedule to be completed in Fall, 2012.
