Note on Retention Elections: After serving an initial term, Pennsylvania Supreme Court justices stand for retention every 10 years until reaching the mandatory retirement age of 70. Retention elections allow you to choose whether or not a judge should remain on the bench for another term by voting "yes" or "no."
