What does it mean to volunteer with the Committee of Seventy?

Volunteers who participate in our nonpartisan Voter Protection Program receive advance training, and are assigned to local polling places to watch for and resolve any problems that might occur. Other volunteers staff an election-day phone hotline to handle calls that help citizens resolve polling-place issues, or assist our staff in tracking polling-issue hotspots and trends citywide. It's a great way to be right in the thick of the action.
