On sunday, december 28, 2007, the pennsylvania supreme court upheld the constitutionality of philadelphia's campaign finance law

The Committee of Seventy launched this legal battle in early 2006 when a Board Member filed suit against the Democratic Mayoral candidates to compel them to comply with Philadelphia's campaign finance laws.
